Hi, I'm Urban!

People often describe me as friendly, calm, and easy to talk to. I take a holistic approach to level design and want to make levels that not only play well but also look great. Clear communication is crucial to me, and I’m not afraid to ask tough questions to ensure design choices align with project goals. People have also said that I help others stay on track.

I’ve always had a fascination for games and playable spaces. Already as a kid I drew a (suprisingly accurate) map of my home with all possible hiding spots. In 2018 I started to dedicate evenings and weekends creating maps for StarCraft II. My success as a "mapper" prompted a career shift. Away from a recent Master of Arts in Primary Education to something that would align more closely with my lifelong interest in games. A change that would also allow me to spend more of my free time on outdoor and social activities.

This brought me to , where I’ve continued to develop my skills. Most recently, I interned at Infinite Mana as a Level Designer and Level Artist.

Thank you for taking the time to check out my portfolio. If you believe I can contribute to your team, I'd love to hear from you!

I am part of The Game Assembly’s internship program. As per the agreement between the Games Industry and The Game Assembly, neither student nor company may be in contact with one another regarding internships before April 23rd. Any internship offers can be made on May 6th, at the earliest.
