Reflections

Me and my fellow LD's started of strong by using Miro for flowcharting out the whole experience. It was very useful for coming up with a solid game progression and we used it throughout the whole project to keep track on our progress. Worth mentioning is that we used Taiga as our real agile tool.

My main tasks were blockout and whiteboxing, but I also came to work on many other things, like the game’s music and sound effects, creating most of the music and sounds within the game. I also worked on the games narrative.

One of the key takeaways for me is the vital importance of good communication and collaboration, especially when things get challenging. We arguably aimed a bit too high with this project, not realising the challenges that came with having the programmers starting to write their own engines with TGE. This ambitious approach however likely led to significant learning and growth for the entire team.
